The 84 Degree East company presented a capsule collection of clothes “Save the planet”, which is unique for Belarus. During its creation, 6 tons of recycled plastic were used - this is more than 150,000 bottles of 1.5 liters. This is the first experience in the production of clothing for a mass market with the addition of recycled plastic in Belarus. The plastic content in clothes is 20%.

The family look collection went on sale on March 1 in the company's branded stores in Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as on our website (all clothing items can be found under the #Save the planet tag ). The collection is made in a minimalist style from canvases of natural shades (sage, graphite, sand), consists of trousers, anoraks, sweatshirts and shorts from a footer, as well as T-shirts and bicycles (for women and girls).

The prints were selected during a popular design competition announced by 84 Degree Eastin 2020. More than 200 works were sent to the competition then, and the final options were chosen by the brand's subscribers on social networks.

All models of the collection suggest everyday wear, free, relaxed images, and comfort. The emphasis is on the absolute compatibility of the models with each other, as well as with other things from any wardrobe. It is also one of the steps towards reducing the mass of thoughtless purchases, a sign of green thinking and consumption.

The traditional footer, from which the main models of the collection are created, are composed of cotton and recycled polyester made from used plastic. Polyester threads, which 84 Degree East buys, undergo thorough multi-stage processing in production, therefore they are absolutely safe and non-toxic. The company also notes that such clothes are absolutely not whimsical in their care and, in some respects, are superior to those made from conventional materials.

All used canvases have passed additional tests in an accredited laboratory and meet the requirements of physical, mechanical and chemical safety of the technical regulations of the Customs Union.

“Natural resources are a great value given to a person along with life. Our common task is to live consciously and cherish what can be exhausted at any moment. The use of recycled resources, including in the creation of clothing, helps to partially reduce the harm caused to the environment. It was taking care of her that became the impetus for 84 Degree East to release a new collection. We sincerely hope that the initiative will find a great response among fans of the brand in many countries , ”said Svetlana Siparova, director and co-founder of the group of companies.

The release of the Planet collection became one of the components of the large-scale campaign of 84 Degree East, which is aimed at conscious consumption and solving environmental problems. As part of the project, everyone will be offered to undergo an ecotest, according to the results of which people will receive advice on environmental behavior. In addition, 84 Degree East will challenge other Belarusian brands and launch a challenge.

“Only 27% of waste is recycled in Belarus now. One of the main reasons why there is so little is the problem with separate garbage collection. When we all learn to sort it and throw plastic into special bins, then we will have more opportunities to cleanse the planet and give things a second life, ”the company says.

Over the past 70 years, the world has produced about 6.5 billion tons of plastic. The World Wildlife Fund estimates that between 5 and 12 million tons of plastic waste is found in the oceans every year, resulting in whole “garbage islands”. The area of the "Eastern Garbage Continent" in the Pacific Ocean is estimated at 1.5 million square meters. km. - almost 6 times more than the territory of Belarus. Presumably, 100 million tons of garbage have accumulated there. And this garbage continent is not the only one. According to zoologists, about 400 thousand marine mammals die every year due to plastic pollution. does not represent, nor, therefore, guarantees or endorses the accuracy and veracity of the information, content or advertisements included, distributed, linked, downloaded or obtained from shamshairalidmt, nor the quality of any of the products, information or other exhibited elements, acquired or obtained as a result of the publicity or any other information or offer available in or in relation to shamshairalidmt More information
